Let’s talk details

Where will I be collected from?

Afternoon Service: Grand Avenue, Hove, BN3 2NQ (close to the finish line)

This service will take you to the start line at: Apps Court Farm, Hurst Road, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, KT12 2EG.

What time?

Departures will take place from 3:00pm until 8:00pm and coaches will leave approximately every 30 minutes.

Please be prepared to encounter a short wait whilst loading each coach.

How much are tickets?

Each service costs £45. This covers transport for yourself and your bike.

When do I need my ticket by?

Tickets are available until Tuesday 29 August 2023.

What about my bike?

Your ticket will cover transport for you and your bike. Your bike will go onto a trailer, and you’ll travel on a coach. The trailer will travel at the same time as the coach.

Will my bike get damaged?

The bikes are strapped up tightly to minimise any movement whilst in transit. If, however, you are concerned about damage, we advise that you use material such as cardboard to wrap around certain parts of your bike.

Please be aware that use of this transport service is done at your own risk and the British Heart Foundation accept no liability for any damage that may be incurred during this service.

Will I have to load the bike myself?

There will be staff and volunteers on hand to help you load your bike onto and from the trailer at the other end.

Where will I be dropped?

You will be dropped back to the start line. Please make sure you have planned your way home from this point.

Where can I park?

Free parking is available at Apps Court Farm all day. The car park closes at 11.00pm but there is onsite security for 24 hours if you need access after this time.

There are plenty of all day car parks close to Hove Lawns that you can park in, however, please be aware that they will be pay and display.

When will I receive my tickets?

Your ticket will be sent automatically to your email address. You can print this out or show us a copy of the email on your phone. We will also have a printed list of everyone who has purchased transport tickets (please note you will need to show proof of identification in this instance).

What happens if I forget it/my phone dies?

We will have a list of everyone who has purchased transport as well as how many tickets you have purchased. If you don’t have your ticket with you, a member of staff will need to check your name off against the list before allowing you on board.

What’s stopping someone from photocopying a ticket?

There is a unique reference number associated with every purchase which is printed on your ticket. Your ticket will be checked against our records which will tell us how many tickets you’ve purchased. You will only be allowed onto the service for the number of tickets you’ve bought.

Can I buy my ticket on the day?

No – tickets can only be purchased in advance online; they won’t be on sale on event day. If there are any surplus seats our staff may allow additional people onto the service before departure, but this is at their discretion and cannot be guaranteed.
