Is KardiaMobile compatible with my mobile phone or tablet?
What is the difference between KardiaMobile devices?
The greater depth of detail from the KardiaMobile 6L provides doctors visibility into certain arrhythmias that are leading indicators of cardiovascular disease; this is not automatically indicated by the device, but can be read manually by the doctor from the rhythm strip. KardiaMobile 6L also features updated connectivity to your phone or tablet to prevent loss of connectivity due to interference from ultrasonic noise (eg. motion detectors, pest control devices, light switches). There are also minor cosmetic differences between devices.
Do I need to attach any leads?
With KardiaMobile there are no leads, pads or gels to apply. The 'leads' refers to the number of perspectives which the ECG monitor can look at your heart.
Can I use KardiaMobile with my implantable device?
No. KardiaMobile is not intended for use in children and must not be used in adults with cardiac pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators or other implanted electronic devices.
Should I see a doctor about my results?
If you are unsure about your reading or are suffering from undiagnosed symptoms it is always recommended to seek help from a medical professional. Results can be easily exported from the KardiaApp.
Does KardiaMobile require a subscription?
No, there is an option to subscribe to AliveCor's KardiaCare service through the Kardia app, these additional features are not essential to effectively use the app. The device has been clinically validated for use in isolation of the additional subscription. It is possible to see more detail on what the subscription offers through the Kardia App. Additionally, we are here to help if you have any further questions.
